I took a CS class at Wake Forest where we had to build a calculator from scratch. It was not fun, but the results were satisfying. I would have loved the process and maybe even retained more knowledge if I had been using Minecraft circuits instead of circuit diagrams.

Schools should use Minecraft as a educational tool for helping kids learn about the fundamentals of computers. Not only would it be fun but it also has collaboration built-in. Once you learn about logic gates you’re on your way to building practically anything (e.g. a calculator).

I am a professional computering expert!
