The slip into hyperspace/warp speed as a plot device is ordinarily used either as a) An accidental tunnel to the unknown, or B) An escape from danger via total oblivion.

Sight is like a clown: you see them.

Two years ago I created a Daft Punk helmet with animating LEDs for Halloween. That was the first time I’ve ever dabbled in physical computing. Without Arduino, I wouldn’t even know where to begin a project of that magnitude.

If you’re unfamiliar with Arduino or don’t know about open-source hardware in general, then take some time to watch the documentary. Learn why it’s changing our world and helping education.

Now that your mind has expanded, go make something cool.

The Makery, VHX and myself made an appearance in Details Magazine. Thanks to Matt and the rest of the gang for pulling this together!

The best way to sync music to your iPhonePadPod

If you’re like me, then you have a lot more music than your iPhone can actually store on its hard drive. Always choosing what music to put on my iPhone is tedious so I came up with a simple solution.

Create three playlists:

  • One smart playlist that selects recently played songs up to 70% of your iPhone’s hard drive space. For example, if you have 16GB you would limit the playlist to 11GB.
  • One smart playlist that selects recently added songs up to 20% of your hard drive.
  • One normal playlist where you put music you’ll always want to have on your iPhone.

Then sync your phone to those three playlists instead of your entire music directory. Done!

Nice work, bro and team!

I co-produced this songfor the Reverend John DeLore back in April 2009. Recently, I was asked to mix an instrumental version of it for a new Zippo ad campaign. The cinematography is awesome and the music works better than I could of imagined. Nice work Keegan.

By the way, that’s me playing the bass reeds of the accordion and Kara Suzanne singing those haunting oooh’s in the background.

Out of all the task management apps that exist on the interwebs, there has yet to be a single one that is minimal, multi-platform, mobile and syncs to the cloud.

I was about to make it myself, but fortunately Wunderlist has beaten me to the punch.
