# Casey Pugh

## About

Casey Pugh is a creative technologist who has been blending tech, design, and code since 2006. He is the co-founder of Definitely Games, an a16z-backed studio building multiplayer co-op games, and the creator of Wavelength, an Apple Design Award Finalist mobile game.

Previously, Casey co-founded VHX (2010–2017), a platform that helped indie creators launch their own streaming services. VHX was acquired by Vimeo in 2016 and now powers their enterprise OTT business, including Dropout, The Criterion Collection, and thousands more.

Casey won a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy and a Peabody Award for creating Star Wars Uncut, the first crowdsourced fan film. He later collaborated with Lucasfilm on Empire Strikes Back Uncut. Star Wars Uncut has inspired a generation of crowdsourced remakes including Conan O'Brien's "OCCUPY CONAN", AMC's Mad Men Fan Cut, and Shrek Retold.

At Vimeo, Casey built the original Vimeo player and later founded Vimeo Creator Labs, an R&D team that created innovations including 3D hologram live streaming and a Unity SDK.
